About Venetia
English
I have a warm and friendly approach and am excited to collaborate with learners looking to grow confidence in their speaking skills. Learning a language can be so difficult and speaking can be a particular hurdle if there isn't room to practice and overcome initial fears and hesitations. I invite students to enjoy conversational sessions, suited to their pace to build confidence and enjoy a laid-back dialogue.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, interests, and learning style, creating a supportive and engaging environment where confidence can grow naturally.
For English (TEFL) students, I focus on practical communication skills - speaking, listening, reading, and writing - while building vocabulary and grammar in context. Lessons may include conversation practice, real-life scenarios, exam preparation, or academic English, depending on your needs. I aim to make sessions interactive and relevant, helping you use English comfortably in everyday or professional situations.
For History of Art, I can guide students through key movements, artists, historical context and themes while developing critical thinking and visual analysis skills. Lessons can be discussion-based and adaptable, whether you’re preparing for exams, writing essays, or simply exploring art out of personal interest. I also support students in structuring arguments, analysing artworks, and building confidence in their interpretations.
My teaching style is patient, flexible, and encouraging. I believe learning works best when it feels engaging rather than overwhelming, so I incorporate a mix of structured guidance and open discussion to keep lessons both effective and enjoyable.
