About Yasmin

I am a dedicated tutor for students of all ages for subjects including English, Writing, Reading Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, basic life/career advice/coaching, and more. I have worked as a professional English and Social Science Tutor at Rock Valley College and privately for over two years as well as a Peer Mentor. I have assisted students from the ages of 7-65. I currently write for my school newspaper as a news reporter. I am certified as a NASPA Peer Educator and Pearson Level 2 Tutor. I have Associate of Arts degree from Rock Valley College. I am currently a student with junior-level standing attending Illinois State University with a major in English and a minor in Psychology. A hobby of mine that I frequently turn to is writing, as I find joy in the expression and productivity it provides to myself and others.

About the lesson

The way in which I carry out sessions comes down to a down-to-earth approach with students, ensuring their needs are met while also offering moral support. I view tutoring as a team effort and view myself as an equivalent figure to a client. I am exceedingly open to questions and informing students of what they should know with their particular work in order to ensure success on their end.

I have a great appreciation for assistance and one-on-one consultation because of its significance and effectiveness. I understand the necessity of having a coach/mentor in the process of being successful, and so I enjoy devoting my time to others and to unveil to my clients their potential and optimal statuses.

Details

- Sessions are $15/hour.
- Get $10 off your total if you schedule 5 hours of sessions in advance.
- Get $25 off your total if you schedule 10 hours of sessions in advance.
- If travel is necessary, $2 will be added to the total pricing amount.
- I offer writing services (paper-writing) for the same rate. I charge approximately $7.5/page and complete 1 page per half hour. Please inform me of if you are scheduling appointments with me for the purpose of receiving services in writing. For more information on this, please get in touch with me.
