About Skye
I am experienced in exam technique as I have done my own GCSEs, achieving a 7 is English Literature and a 9 in English Language. I am predicted an A* in English Language and an A in English Literature at a-level. I also study sociology which has taught me a great deal about education and how children learn.
I would also be happy to teach younger students as I have experience teaching literacy and comprehension to KS2 and KS3 students.
I also achieved an average of grade 8 in all my GCSEs, so if there is another subject your child may need help with, please feel free to inquire as I may be able to help.
Teaching and encouraging others is something I am incredibly passionate about and I would love to go into a career in education and child development in the future.

I can help students improve their technique and so eventually their grade in English. I know the exam structure in English well and am aware of many structures your child could use to allow them to pass their exams.
I would begin the tutoring by first introducing the student to the course and a basic plan for our tutoring sessions. These sessions would take place once or twice a week, being one hour each, and I would be happy to travel to you, or we could even go someplace else, such as a library, so we would be equipped with all available resources. I am also able to do online tutoring, to allow for flexibility. Across the first few sessions I would be testing the ability of your child, getting to know their specific needs and understanding the course they are taking, as well as their intentions. I would then go away and develop work and lessons to allow for your child's progress. I would also set work for the time in between sessions to allow for retaining and using the information they are learning. As we do lessons I will also change the course to allow for progress. I would also be happy to provide parents/guardians with progress reports and would love to hear suggestions.
