About Rebecca

I have worked in the public school system for almost five years now. I have tutored students from China and worked with Spanish speaking students daily. I have a solid knowledge of this subject, always maintain my professionalism, and am easily reachable.

About the lesson

I always get to know my students first. This includes weaknesses, strengths, likes, and dislikes. This allows me to decide what to focus on and how to teach it. Typically, I give students a say in the content. For example, if I am teaching persuasive writing they can pick the topic. If I am teaching expository writing, I give choices of relevant topics to their age range. I model the process, I practice it with them, and then they complete it on their own. I always try to relate my lessons to everyday life to show my students the importance of what we are learning.
