About Kinsley
My job is to get students to a place where they feel confident in completing tasks that might otherwise seem daunting. I also like to understand where the students are coming from as far as what issues they have with reading and writing and understanding. While some skills are universal, each student learns differently and finding what works best is important and also helping find ways to overcome conflicts instead of feeling lost.

I specialize in reading and understanding written works and how to write essays, including sentence structure, thesis and using quotes depending on individual grade levels. I also stress vocabulary in the context of words in a sentence to help with meaning and a better overall grasp of the work. This also helps with standardized testing. My lessons will be based off of reading material and essay/writing prompts and what the student is required to read and write about. Understanding the directive and how to achieve it is the first step. Grade levels will determine the best way to address individual situations.
