About Lauren
My name is Dr. Guilbeaux, and I just graduated with a doctorate in May! I have been teaching for seven years, and since I moved to ELA, my students have shown immense growth in areas of reading and writing, enough to land me in the top 20 highest scores in the state of MS!

I mostly use student-centered instruction in my lessons because learning, in my opinion, should be fun and as interactive as possible. Depending on what areas of ELA you may need help with, we will practice with a variety of strategies that I hope to set you up for reading and/or writing success. I always try to tailor my instruction to the interests and needs of my students; specifically, I want you to be highly engaged in the texts that we read.
My work focused on helping 7-9 grade students with their ELA skills.
