About Brendan
I have 16 years of experience as an English teacher and public speaking coach. In that time, I have taught grade levels from 5 to 12, both in literature and writing. I generally teach Advance Placement courses and have done a good deal of test prep courses as well. I believe that self-paced, student-centered education can allow anyone to learn anything. I believe that skills-focused lessons are paramount in unlocking writing potential.

I will set up a range of lessons from our first meeting, allowing you to pick and choose what we cover, and at what pace. My lessons generally involve modeling skills, feedback, and independent practice. My lessons are for middle school through college students, with special emphasis on students in advanced English courses looking to polish up their writing skills.
