About Jigyasa

Hey guys!

I am a human version of my name, Jigyasa (it means curiosity).

I am a journalist, a writer, a teacher, and an empathetic person. Teaching is a genetic skill for me and it provides me with a platform to connect with more people, especially the new generation.

I have a strong belief that good teachers help build a foundation for a strong society and an even healthier world. On a Sunday, I love to chat with my students about philosophy, the world, and life. It keeps me alive.

I have been a different person after each student has completed their course duration with me. It is such a two-way learning process and I would like to continue to teach for this very reason for the rest of my life.

Hello!

My name is Jigyasa and I call myself a versatile writer and an engaging tutor with a unique skill set. I am currently based in the UK.

My experience as an international Journalist, an experienced researcher, and thoughtful writer has helped me dive into a wide range of articles, listicles, essays, features, interviews, blogs, news reports, and editorials. As a freelancer on the side for the past five years, I have worked with students to help them write statements of purpose and Curriculum Vitaes for their professional and academic journeys.

I have native proficiency in English and Hindi. As a government-certified tutor, I have taught English and other primary subjects to students in the capital city of India. My ability to communicate and understand diversity along with my experience in different styles of writing gives me an edge in providing transcription and interpretation skills as well.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and I am pursuing my Master's in Governance and Public Policy in the United Kingdom. I am also working as a freelancer for Reuters which gives me a strong background in English and communication along with government changes.

Having worked as a research analyst for a Defence Intelligence firm based out of London, I am well versed in the English language and writing jargon.

For the past five years, in diverse settings, I have taught subjects including Creative writing, history, academic writing, and English. I have interacted with adults and children from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds and worked with children in sensitive environments of abuse and trafficking providing me with an acute understanding of different approaches.

I have a knack for reading and research skills. I am an extremely motivated and determined person always curious to expand my horizon in fields other than mine. I also keep myself involved in seminars and courses and different certifications for constant academic and professional development.
