About Natalie

I was born and raised in Canada and have been teaching English for over 18 years as a native English speaker! I love to travel and have had the opportunity to live and teach ESL in South Korea. As someone who has studied other languages including French and basic Korean, I understand the challenges and dedication it takes to master a new language. I hold a BA in Social Work and I am also TESL-certified. Currently, I work full-time at a primary school. If you have English goals, I am happy to help you achieve them! Outside of teaching, I live in the city of Toronto, Canada near a great lake and a beautiful park. You might meet my cat, Jack, during our lessons! I am TESL certified and have experience teaching ESL online for almost 1 year. I use a combination of online resources and personalized lesson plans from my own library to fit your goals! About the lesson

As someone who has studied other languages including French and basic Korean, I understand the challenges and dedication it takes to master a new language. I use personalized lesson plans from my own library combined with online resources to fit your goals! I also enjoy reading books and articles that my students bring! My approach focuses on active learning, meaningful communication, and real-world application of language skills. This is why I use the following methodologies: Communicative Language Teaching, Grammar-Translation Method, and Task-Based Language Teaching. I also use the following techniques: Learner-Centered Approach, Content-Based Instruction, Interactive Method, Discussion-Based Learning, Differentiated Instruction, and Active Learning Strategies. A typical lesson plan would include: level, subject, topic, lesson focus and goals, materials needed, learning objectives, activity, and assessment. This might look like reading an article, learning or reviewing new vocabulary and grammar, and answering questions at the end. My lesson approach creates a dynamic and effective learning experience for my students which sets me apart as a tutor. I look forward to teaching you no matter what your English level is!
