About Trici Noel

Hi, I’m Trici Noel, and I bring more than 40 years of experience with English, reading, writing, and spelling. My knowledge comes not only from education, but from a lifetime of reading, writing, teaching, parenting, professional coaching, and continuously developing my own communication skills.

I am an author of three books, as well as guides and journals, and I have always had a natural love for words and storytelling. I’m an avid reader and lifelong bookworm, and spelling has always been something I genuinely enjoy. I have also taken college-level courses in writing, English, literature, and related subjects that have continued to strengthen my knowledge and appreciation of language.

Some of my most meaningful teaching experience began at home. As a mother of two young adults, I personally helped teach my children how to read, spell, study, and prepare for tests. That experience taught me that every learner is different and that sometimes the key to understanding something is simply finding the right way to explain it.

Professionally, I have worked as a career coach and supported hundreds of adults through workforce development. Through that experience, I have helped people recognize their strengths, develop their skills, prepare for employment, and present themselves professionally. This experience has given me a strong understanding of how important communication, confidence, reading, writing, and presentation skills can be in both education and the workplace.

I am also a Toastmasters speech winner, which has strengthened my public speaking and communication skills and taught me the importance of expressing ideas clearly and confidently.

What I bring to tutoring is more than textbook knowledge. I bring decades of real-life experience, a genuine love of learning, and an understanding of how important encouragement can be when someone is trying to improve. I know that learning does not always happen the same way for everyone, so I take the time to meet students where they are and help them move forward from there.

My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and trying again. Whether you are improving your English, strengthening your reading or spelling, preparing for the GED, or working on a resume, I want you to leave each lesson feeling more confident than when you started.

I believe experience teaches us things that cannot always be found in a textbook and I look forward to sharing that experience with you.

About the lesson

Hi! I’m Trici Noel, and I truly enjoy helping students become more confident in their English and communication skills. I understand that learning something new or going back to something you may have struggled with can feel overwhelming. My goal is to make learning feel comfortable, encouraging, and achievable. Whether you’re working toward your GED, improving your reading and spelling, strengthening your English, or preparing a resume for your next job opportunity, I’m here to meet you where you are and help you move forward.

What I Can Help You With
English: Grammar, vocabulary, writing, reading comprehension, and everyday communication.

Reading: Building reading confidence, improving comprehension and fluency, expanding vocabulary, and developing stronger reading habits.

GED Preparation: Support with English Language Arts, reading comprehension, writing, and preparing for the types of questions you may encounter on the GED.

Spelling: Learning spelling patterns, practicing difficult words, improving accuracy, and developing strategies that make spelling easier to remember.

Resume Preparation: Creating, improving, and proofreading resumes so you can clearly communicate your experience, skills, and strengths to potential employers.

My Teaching Approach
I believe you should never feel embarrassed about asking a question or saying, “I don’t understand.” My lessons are a judgment-free space where you can learn at a pace that works for you. I explain things in simple, clear steps and use examples and practice to help you understand the material. If one explanation doesn’t work for you, that’s okay. I’m willing to approach the topic from a different angle until it makes sense.

I also believe that small improvements matter. Every new word you learn, every paragraph you understand, and every skill you improve is progress. I want you to leave each lesson feeling like you learned something useful and are one step closer to your goal.
