About Saher

I want to teach because I am passionate about helping students find their voice and grow in confidence. There’s something incredibly rewarding about seeing a student improve, not just in their skills but in how they express themselves. I love creating a space where students feel heard, supported, and able to explore their ideas.

Teaching English allows me to connect with students on a deeper level, helping them understand the power of language and communication. It’s more than just grammar or vocabulary for me—it’s about helping students develop critical thinking and articulate their thoughts in ways they may not have thought possible. I’m passionate about guiding them through that journey, from the basics to more advanced concepts, and watching them thrive along the way.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching English from KS1 to Year 10 focuses on putting the student’s voice first. I make it a priority to actively listen to each student and remain patient throughout the learning process. I tailor my lessons to suit the individual needs and levels of my students, ensuring they feel heard and supported.

For younger students (KS1-KS2), I concentrate on building foundational skills in reading, writing, and comprehension through engaging activities like storytelling and interactive exercises. I use simple language and offer plenty of encouragement to help them build confidence.

As students move into KS3 and Year 10, I shift my approach to focus on deeper language development, including grammar, literature analysis, and more structured writing. I aim to develop their critical thinking skills and help them express their ideas clearly. By asking thoughtful questions, I encourage them to think independently and articulate their thoughts, which is crucial for their GCSE preparation.

Across all levels, I remain patient and adaptable, ensuring that my students stay engaged and motivated to improve their English skills.
