About Rob
I have received my MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) which is the umbrella for teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), English for Special Purposes (ESP), etc.
I have taught English for over 20 years in schools, universities, businesses, and communities, and have started, run and taught at an English school in Indonesia for 12 years. This involved designing the program, developing the curriculum, training the teachers, running the school, and teaching students.
I have also taught people from many countries in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa through refugee programs and online through platforms like this.

I believe my lessons should be student-based, understanding your needs to better meet your language learning goals. I use a variety of activities with a primarily communicative approach that is highly interactive and offers meaningful tasks to help you more quickly learn English.
I have learned a few other languages myself, and so I am aware of the difficulties second-language learners face. This helps me to be a better language teacher.
My education receiving a Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), and more than 20 years experience teaching English, has equipped me well to teach all skills and standardized test preparation to people of all ages and from different cultural backgrounds.
