About Erin

I am a PhD researcher in English Literature at the University of Edinburgh. I have a BA and a Masters degree in English and formal teaching accreditation at the university level.

I have experience teaching university classes in essay-writing, modern literature, poetry and the contemporary novel, and have consistently received excellent feedback from students on my teaching methods, which involve focused sessions that group skills-training and knowledge acquisition into manageable learning modules. I strive to combine these methods with a friendly and approachable style and a sensitive receptiveness to individual student needs so that classes are both enjoyable and produce measurable results.

About the lesson

My lessons target students' individual educational objectives while also providing rich and wide-ranging knowledge about literature, history and culture , which I have gained over several years of professional study in the field. Whether you are studying for A-levels, writing a university thesis or simply seeking to enrich your cultural repertoire, I provide valuable expertise and one-on-one training tailored to your needs.

I offer lessons in advanced communication, literacy and essay-writing skills, research methods and thesis help as well as focused work for A-levels and university exams.

I typically start with a free first session to assess student needs and objectives and to develop a learning strategy and timeline. Following lessons will be organized accordingly.
