About Katie
I am currently in my second year of studying English Literature and Creative Writing at Cardiff University. I achieved A*AA in my A-Levels with an A* in English Language and Literature. I achieved 9s in my GCSEs including English Language, English Literature, maths and triple science. I have a deep passion for writing, especially poetry, and I am very fortunate to be doing it as part of my degree. I am here to make English accessible and enjoyable and help you achieve the best you can, whatever grade that looks like. Throughout school, I held out-of-classroom revision sessions for my peers so I have plenty of experience in exam planning, essay editing and last minute cramming.

I am supporting students of all abilities to achieve their desired grades, whether comfortably passing or aiming for 9s and A*s. I offer encouraging and friendly lessons, working to establish confidence in literary skills before moving to exam techniques. My lesson times are flexible and will be centred around what you want to focus on. I believe that past papers are the most effective exam preparation. We will practise planning, writing and improving, frequently using example essays, as well as revising your set texts.
I studied English Language and Literature at A-Level and I currently study a joint honours BA English Literature degree. My lessons will be tailored towards GCSE English Language and/or Literature, A-Level English Language and Literature, or A-Level English Literature.
