About Polly
As a current English student at the University of Cambridge, I am constantly immersed in literature and writing, and would love to spread my enthusiasm for the subject.
Having completed my GCSEs and A Levels relatively recently, I understand the intricacies of the school system, and how the style of exam preparation can not always serve all students in the best way. Therefore, I am here to help my students maximise their potential in, and their enjoyment of, English as a subject.

I am happy to adapt lessons to suit students' specific requirements, whether that is directly targeting essay techniques and set texts in preparation for exams, or helping find a more secure grounding in English, and appreciation for it as a subject, in general. Every student learns differently, and, especially for a subject like English, I recognise that everyone has an individual route to achieving their full potential.
Likely tasks include discussing and analysing extracts from texts, considering wider themes and contexts, and breaking down what creates a successful exam answer.
