About Molly

About Me

I’m a friendly and enthusiastic legal professional currently working as a legal recruiter, with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for English Language and Literature.

I attended a grammar school, so I understand first-hand the preparation, commitment and confidence that can be involved in working towards the 11+ and gaining a place at a grammar school. My experience within the legal profession has also strengthened my communication, writing, comprehension and attention to detail — skills that I believe are particularly valuable when supporting children with their English.

My interest in teaching began before my current career, as I have experience working in a nursery environment. I really enjoyed working with children, helping them learn new things and seeing their confidence develop. That experience made me realise how rewarding it can be to support someone’s learning and development.

Although I currently work within legal recruitment, teaching and education is something I would potentially like to pursue later in my career, which is one of the reasons I’m excited to begin tutoring. I see tutoring as a wonderful opportunity to combine my love of English with my enjoyment of helping others learn.

I want my lessons to be more than simply working through questions. My aim is to create a positive, patient and encouraging environment where children feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and gradually building their confidence.

I would love to help your child not only prepare for the 11+, but also develop a genuine enjoyment of English that they can carry with them beyond the exam.

About the lesson

I offer engaging and supportive 11+ English tuition designed to help children build the skills, confidence and exam technique they need to succeed.

Having attended a grammar school myself and now working as a legal recruiter within the legal profession, I have developed a strong understanding of English language, comprehension, vocabulary and written communication. I have always had a genuine love for English Language and Literature, which I bring into my lessons to make learning both enjoyable and rewarding.

I tailor lessons to each child’s individual needs, identifying areas for improvement while also building on the skills they already have. My aim is to create a friendly, encouraging environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their abilities.

Whether your child is just beginning their 11+ preparation or needs additional support with particular areas, I can create lessons around their current level and goals.
