About Alisha
Hi, I’m Alisha, an English Literature student and tutor with nearly two years of experience supporting students at KS3 and GCSE level. I teach AQA, Edexcel, and Eduqas (WJEC), helping students build confidence in reading, writing, analysis, and exam technique.
Because I’m a student myself, I understand what it feels like to be on the other side of the desk with deadlines, exam pressure, and challenging content. I focus on creating supportive, relatable lessons that make learning feel less overwhelming and much more accessible. I often use references from popular culture, films, and real world examples to help bring texts and themes to life and make complex ideas easier to understand.
My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and fully tailored to each student’s needs. Whether we are working on essay structure, understanding key themes, improving language analysis, or exam preparation, my goal is to help students feel confident in their abilities and proud of their progress.

My lessons are designed to be supportive, structured, and personalised to each student. I begin by identifying the student’s strengths and the areas they want to improve, and then I create a clear plan that suits their learning style and exam board.
In sessions, I break down skills step by step so students understand not just what to write, but how to think like an examiner. We look at model answers, practise building strong paragraphs, analyse unseen extracts together, and develop effective exam strategies. I also use examples from films, shows, books, and everyday life to make complex ideas easier to grasp and more engaging.
Every lesson ends with quick verbal feedback so students know exactly what they did well and what we will focus on next. Whether a student needs help with confidence, structure, analysis, or revision techniques, my aim is to make progress feel achievable and to build long term understanding, not just short term memorisation.
