About Aidan

Hello! I’m Aidan, a University of Chicago graduate in Political Science (major GPA: 3.80) with a focus on Global Governance and International Relations. I specialize in English, U.S. and World History, and Government, and I have experience helping students build confidence, master complex concepts, and improve their grades.

I graduated from Okemos High School, where I earned 5’s on AP U.S. History, AP World History, AP Government, and AP English, and scored 1450 on the SAT. I bring both firsthand knowledge of challenging coursework and a proven, structured approach to tutoring.

My lessons are interactive and tailored to each student’s needs, combining discussion, analysis, and hands-on exercises to develop critical thinking, writing skills, and true mastery of the material. I am committed to providing a professional, supportive, and motivating learning environment, so every student leaves confident and prepared.

Outside of academics, I am passionate about soccer (I’m a former player), enjoy photography, movies, and outdoor adventures, and love bringing energy and creativity into my tutoring sessions. As someone who had tutors in High School, I believe learning should be both effective and enjoyable, and I aim to make every lesson engaging, personal, and rewarding.

About the lesson

I make learning English, History, and Government engaging and interactive, adding a smile and a few roasts along the way. Through discussion, analysis, and hands-on exercises, I help students think critically, strengthen writing, and (get as close as possible) to master complex concepts.

My tutoring is participatory and tailored to each student's learning process and lived experiences. Lessons begin with a brief review, followed by interactive exercises and focused writing or reflection practice. I guide students to connect ideas across topics, build confidence, and improve both understanding and grades.

I work with middle and high school students, including AP and honors levels, helping them tackle challenging material while developing analytical thinking, essay-writing skills, and real mastery of the subject. Every session is structured to be productive, engaging, and rewarding (and fun!).
