An enthusiastic social studies education major at Southeast Missouri State University. Specializes in both history and government.

Methodology

One of my greatest intents while teaching history is to relate the subject matter to what is taking place in the current era. This could be politically, culturally, or artistically. History is one of the indicators we can look at to better understand the world we live in and why it is the way that it is.

Background

For the past three years I have been studying history with the intentions of becoming a historian, however I realized during my studies that what I really enjoy doing is sharing history with students. One area I specialize in as an educator National History Day. While I was in high school, I was qualified to attend nationals in Washington D.C. In the past I have had the opportunity to work with students on projects for NHD, and I now annually judge projects at a district level.
