About CAÑEGA

Hello! I am a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship graduate and currently taking Teaching Certification Program (TCP). My academic background in entrepreneurship, combined with my ongoing teacher training, allows me to bring both practical knowledge and a student-centered approach to my lessons.

I am passionate about helping students learn in a way that is simple, practical, engaging, and easy to understand. As an ESL tutor, I especially enjoy helping non-native English speakers develop their communication skills, improve their vocabulary and grammar, practice pronunciation, and become more confident in using English in everyday and academic situations.

I believe that every student has a different learning style and pace. That is why I adjust my lessons according to each learner’s needs, goals, and current level. I encourage students to ask questions, participate actively, and learn from mistakes in a supportive and respectful environment.

With my background in Entrepreneurship and Teaching Certification training, I can also connect lessons to real-life situations, particularly in business, communication, and professional settings.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach

As a BS Entrepreneurship graduate currently taking a Teaching Certification Program (TCP), I believe that effective teaching goes beyond simply giving information. My goal is to help students understand concepts, apply what they learn, and develop confidence in using their knowledge in real-life situations.

My Teaching Methods and Techniques

I use a practical, student-centered, and interactive approach. I adjust my teaching style according to the student's level, learning pace, goals, and specific needs.

For ESL learners, I focus on:

* Conversational English and everyday communication
* Vocabulary and useful expressions
* Grammar explained in a simple and understandable way
* Pronunciation and speaking practice
* Reading and listening comprehension
* Role-playing and real-life conversation situations
* Constructive corrections that help students improve without feeling discouraged

For Entrepreneurship and Business-related subjects, I use:

* Real-world business examples
* Case studies and practical scenarios
* Discussions and problem-solving activities
* Step-by-step explanations of difficult concepts
* Activities that connect lessons to everyday business situations

A Typical Lesson

A typical lesson begins with a short review or warm-up to connect the new topic with what the student already knows. I then introduce the main lesson using simple explanations and examples.

After that, we practice together through questions, discussions, exercises, role-playing, or real-life scenarios. I give immediate and constructive feedback so the student can recognize areas for improvement.

At the end of the lesson, we review the key points and identify what the student should continue practicing. When appropriate, I also provide a simple activity or practice task that can be done independently.

What Sets Me Apart

What makes my approach different is the combination of my Entrepreneurship background and teaching certification training. My business education allows me to connect lessons to practical, real-world situations, while my teaching preparation helps me approach learning in a structured and student-centered way.

I also understand that every learner is different. Instead of expecting students to adapt to one fixed teaching style, I adapt my explanations, activities, and pace to help each student learn effectively.

For non-native English speakers, I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students can practice English, make mistakes, ask questions, and gradually build confidence.
