About Nicolele

Hi! I'm originally from Ottawa, Canada, and I’ve been teaching English since earning my TESOL certification in 2016. Shortly after, I moved to Taiwan, where I spent five incredible years teaching English to students of all ages—from young children to adults. I love connecting with people through language and helping learners build the skills and confidence they need to express themselves. My teaching style is friendly, flexible, and student-focused—I believe learning should be enjoyable and meaningful! Outside the classroom, I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors. My hobbies include hiking, cycling, reading, cooking, and relaxing at the beach whenever I can. I'm always excited to meet new students and support them on their English learning journey!

**My Teaching Approach** As a tutor, I focus on creating engaging, student-centered lessons that build confidence and real-world communication skills. I believe that learning happens best when students feel comfortable, supported, and interested—so I always tailor my lessons to each learner’s goals, level, and learning style. **Teaching Methodology & Techniques** I use a communicative approach, combining interactive speaking practice with targeted grammar, vocabulary, and listening activities. I often incorporate games, visual aids, role-plays, and real-life scenarios to make lessons practical and fun. I also include pronunciation support and reading or writing exercises as needed. **A Typical Lesson Plan** A typical lesson starts with a warm-up and review, followed by an introduction to the day’s topic or grammar point. We then move into guided practice through discussion, activities, or reading/listening tasks. I always end with a short recap and optional homework to reinforce learning. **What Sets Me Apart** With years of experience teaching both children and adults, I bring a flexible, patient, and encouraging teaching style. I know how to adapt quickly, keep students engaged, and explain complex ideas in a simple, relatable way.
