About Shasten

My name is Shasten, and I’m originally from Alaska, but I’ve called Mexico home for nearly 25 years. I live here with my beautiful wife and son, and together we embrace the vibrant culture and community.

I serve as a Christian missionary, sharing my faith and helping others, while also working part-time as a freelance software engineer.

In my free time, I enjoy baking, cycling, fishing, hiking, and writing code on the computer—each of these hobbies allows me to unwind and connect with both nature and technology.

About the lesson

As a dedicated ESL teacher, I believe that the best learning takes place in a relaxed and supportive environment. Being bilingual in Spanish and English, I specialize in teaching conversation, grammar, and pronunciation to help you achieve fluency in English. My lessons range from 25 to 60 minutes and are carefully tailored to reflect my personal experiences and insights as both a teacher and a language learner. To ensure your learning journey is effective, I start with a comprehensive test to assess your current level and then craft a personalized syllabus aligned with your goals and needs.
