About Samantha

I understand that learning a new language is difficult. Thats why I take a friendly, safe approach so that you can take risks without feeling judged. I also understand your time is valuable. Thats why I like to make my lessons as useful for you as possible.

I am a very curious and artistic person, always learning myself. In my spare time I garden, paint, knit and enjoy running.

About the lesson

I specialise in teaching English to non-English speakers.

Not everyone learns the same way or like to learn the same things. This is why I design my own lessons where needed so I can help you best.

What you can expect during a lesson:

* A focus on speaking, listening, reading and grammar.
* Using relevant texts to help you relate to the world around you.
* Interesting homework to help you practice during the week
* Typically 1.5-2 hours long lessons
* Lessons will be based off what you want to learn

* Graduate from University of Auckland, specialising in TESOL.
* Experience in teaching pre-intermediate to upper-intermediate students
* Experience communicating with non-English speakers, encouraging confidence and risk taking.
* Lesson designs based off individual needs.
*Age range from primary students to adult learners.
