Dr. Anderson began her career as a special education teacher in Nashville, TN. She has served as a teacher, professor, academic coordinator, intervention specialist, and applied behavior analysis therapist tutor for the State of Tennessee. She has also been recognized for the work of increasing the most students academic growth for Adequate Year Progress in Nashville. In 2018, she was afforded the opportunity to become a leader in the field of exceptional education in one of largest school districts in Tennessee.

As a standout leader, Dr. Anderson has implemented the continuous improvement model to create educational structures focused on closing the achievement gap and increasing inclusion services for students with disabilities. She is a calculated risk-taker with deep knowledge and skills in leadership development and Special Education.

Dr. Anderson’s core values of integrity, service and commitment sets her apart as a top visionary leader amongst administrators, teachers, students and families. She has a B.S. from Tennessee State University in Health Sciences, an M.Ed. from Tennessee State University in Special Education, and an Ed.D. from Trevecca Nazarene University in Leadership and Professional Practice. She is the author of the book The Importance of Teaching Social-Emotional Learning to Exceptional Needs Students as well as numerous publications and presentations.
