About Samantha

Hi! I’m Samantha, a dedicated tutor who loves helping students feel confident and excited about learning. I’ve worked with kids of all ages, and I specialize in making tricky subjects feel more approachable and fun. I’m especially passionate about science and reading, and I love finding creative ways to bring lessons to life. When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me out in nature, paddleboarding, hiking, or caring for my plants and pets. I also enjoy photography and sharing science experiments that spark curiosity. We then move through guided practice, interactive learning (like games, discussions, or visual tools), and end with a brief reflection or review to solidify understanding.

What sets me apart is my background in informal education—I’ve developed and led science programs in museums, camps, and outreach events, and I’m certified to teach NASA’s Mission: The Universe curriculum. I blend academic support with creativity, real-world connections, and a nurturing learning environment.

My lessons are designed for students in kindergarten through high school, whether they need help catching up, staying on track, or getting ahead. I support learners across a variety of subjects including reading, writing, math foundations, and science, with a special focus on building confidence along the way.
