About Malak
My name is Malak Awadein, and I’m an IB graduate from Egypt currently studying engineering in Malaysia. I earned a 7/7 in IB English B, and throughout my time in the program, English quickly became more than just a subject—it became a passion. What I love most about the language is the power of analysis, and writing to express complex ideas and connect with the world around us. As someone who’s been through the IB journey myself, I understand the challenges students face—especially when it comes to understanding texts, developing strong arguments, and meeting the assessment criteria. That’s why I’m excited to tutor IB English. My goal is to help students not only improve their skills but also discover the joy and confidence that come with mastering language and expression. Whether it’s breaking down a text or crafting a well-structured essay, I’m here to guide students every step of the way.

IB English can be demanding, but with the right support, it can also be incredibly rewarding. My approach is centered on helping students gain confidence in their analytical and writing abilities while developing their own voice and interpretation skills. I tailor each session to the individual student—whether they need guidance with Paper 1, Paper 2, the Individual Oral, or the HL Essay. I focus on unpacking texts, refining argument structure, and mastering the assessment criteria. I additionally aim to make complex concepts more accessible, encourage independent thought, and ultimately help students feel empowered to succeed in IB English, both in class and in exams
