About Luke
I am a qualified British teacher with experience teaching in the UK and international schools. Throughout my career, I have worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds, abilities and educational systems, including Cambridge, MYP and IB programs.
I specialize in English, History, Geography, Economics, Business and Global Perspectives, with extensive experience preparing students for external examinations and helping them develop strong academic and independent learning skills.
I take pride in achieving strong academic outcomes, with a track record of results consistently above both international and domestic benchmarks. However, I believe good teaching is about more than grades. My aim is to help students understand their subjects, become more confident in their abilities and develop the skills they need to succeed independently.
I am approachable, patient and professional, while maintaining high expectations. I build lessons around the individual student rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
Whether a student is struggling with a particular subject, preparing for an important examination or aiming to move from a good grade to an excellent one, I provide clear guidance, constructive feedback and structured support to help them make genuine progress.

I offer structured, personalized tuition for secondary and sixth-form students, drawing on **15 years of teaching experience in the UK and international schools**.
My teaching is based on clear explanation, guided practice, questioning and regular feedback. I break complex topics and skills into manageable steps before giving students opportunities to apply what they have learned independently. For essay-based subjects, I place particular emphasis on developing strong arguments, analysis, evaluation, evidence and academic writing.
For examination students, I teach students how to understand the requirements of their particular syllabus and assessment criteria, rather than simply memorizing content. We work with exam-style questions, model answers and targeted feedback to identify weaknesses and improve the quality of their responses.
Lessons are typically **60 minutes**, although longer sessions can be arranged where appropriate, particularly for examination preparation.
I am a **qualified British teacher with 15 years' experience**, including extensive experience with **Cambridge, MYP and IB programs**. I have taught students across a wide range of abilities and have a strong record of results above both international and domestic benchmarks.
