About Ayesha

Hello future student! My name is Ayesha, I am a reading interventionist and personal development coach for kids who are struggling to read. But also, I'm just a regular mom with a passion for teaching kids how to read. I have obtained various certificates and attended workshops that align with the science of reading and self-development. My mission is to help those struggling readers become fluent in reading and become confident readers. Reading can be challenging, but it doesn't have to hold you back. If you are a parent of a struggling reader, know that you are not alone. Your little one can improve their reading skills with time and patience. Consistency is key when teaching a child to read. If you are a student who is looking to improve your reading skills, then reach out to me and we can discuss how we can move forward and how I can help you improve your reading skills. My personalized, one-on-one sessions are tailored to each student's unique needs and learning style. I use structured literacy, aligned with the science of reading, and an explicit and systematic approach to help students develop all reading skills. I teach online via Google Meet or Zoom. I teach in person as well at my home or at the closest library. My lessons are aimed at students in the foundation phase of their learning, between the ages of 6-12. About the lesson

I offer personalized, one-on-one sessions to students between the ages of 6-12 who are struggling with reading. (If you are older, then let's discuss how I can help you improve your reading skills.) My lessons are aimed at students in the foundation phase of their learning, to ensure that they are well equipped for successful reading. I have obtained various certificates and attended workshops that align with the science of reading and self-development. My mission is to help those struggling readers become fluent in reading and become confident readers. I use an explicit and systematic approach to help students develop all reading skills, including phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Helping your child develop skills in: PHONOLOGICAL AWARENESS (Awareness of Sounds) How to Manipulate, Segment and Blend sounds together to form words. PHONICS AND SPELLING Understanding how letters represent sounds. Using sounds to make words Decoding words into sounds and being able to pronounce words READING FLUENCY AND COMPREHENSION Understanding how sounds, letters and words come together. Reading sentences and putting meaning to words.
