About Hilda

Hi I’m Hilda! I have just graduated from Mt Eden Ballet Academy in New Zealand and am currently in Sydney studying full-time dance at Village Nation Performing Arts! I have been competing and winning in solos and troupes both nationally and internationally, I have the qualifications of distinction for RAD ballet exams up to Advanced 2, hold solo seal NZAMD qualifications for Jazz and Contemporary, I have been a backup dancer and halftime show performer at NZ national sports games for The Blues, The Breakers, and The Silver Ferns! Overall I am someone who has a really good attitude and work ethic, a kind energy and valuable experience in teaching as I’ve been doing it for years. I love teaching dance as it gives me such a purpose and sense of fulfillment and nothing makes me happier than seeing my students achieve things they never thought they ever would!

About the lesson

My personal approach to private tutoring dance is to ensure that my great experience of over 12 years is able to be used by helping a student receive their fullest potential. I have been doing competitive dance (both solos and troupes) for years, competing and winning both nationally and internationally, and have also taken dances that I have choreographed to the stage where they have also won! I am passionate about a good work ethic in dancers as that is what allows them to improve the most, and I also know that a teacher has the ability to allow a dancer to reach a skill level that they themselves may have never thought they’d achieve! My personal approach to private tutoring is that I will allow my students to feel comfortable enough to ask any questions or queries about dance, and to be worked hard in our lessons to ensure progress on whatever goals they are wanting to work on. By maintaining a positive, supportive yet professional relationship with my students, my private tutoring lessons offer the opportunity for great improvement.
