About Mieke
I have a degree in education as an English as additional language teacher, but as a Dutch native speaker also experienced in teaching Dutch as a foreign language. My degree is within the MFL field, which gives me experience in teaching modern foreign languages. I have the experience and enthusiasm to teach a foreign language, but with Dutch being my native language this gives me the experience of a native speaker, too.

Hands on, interactive, practical, inductive, a lot of practice and authentic teaching materials with a communicative focus with considering GCSE English targets. Although the focus will be on authentic communication, teaching materials will always be supported by grammar and vocabulary needed for the appropriate level of English. Students will start with an assessment so I can gather information about their starting level and create my lessons and teaching from this starting point.
