I am an experienced elementary educator who focuses on building both academic skills and student confidence in a supportive, engaging environment. My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and highly personalized because I believe every child learns differently. I specialize in reading, writing, phonics, foundational math, and homework support for elementary-aged students.
My lessons are interactive and structured while still feeling fun and approachable for students. I use a gradual release model (“I do, we do, you do”) to help children feel successful and independent. I incorporate games, visual supports, guided practice, movement activities, and positive reinforcement to keep students engaged and motivated. I also adjust pacing and teaching strategies based on each student’s needs and learning style.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of previously learned skills, followed by direct instruction on a targeted concept. Students then practice together with support before completing independent activities to build mastery and confidence. I always include opportunities for questions, encouragement, and progress monitoring so families can see growth over time.
What sets me apart is my classroom experience, strong relationship-building skills, and ability to make students feel comfortable and capable. As a full-time educator, I understand curriculum standards, differentiated instruction, and how to support students who may struggle with focus, confidence, or academic gaps. I create a calm, positive environment where students feel safe making mistakes and celebrating progress.
