About Karen

I am a retired university music professor and symphony musician from the USA with over 30 years of experience in higher education and professional work. I have had a great record of placing students in professional work and graduate programs ranging from conducting, composing, performing to placements in top university music graduate programs.

About the lesson

I teach by offering encouragement and practical advice with humor and professionalism. I believe in offering students the opportunity to be creative, think critically and analytically, and solve problems so that by the time the complete my course of study they are self-sufficient as musicians, life-long learners, and professionals in whatever discipline the choose. I have high expectations of myself and for my students and generally find that students that stay with the program exceed all expectations for themselves and from others.
