About Tejaswi

I am currently a graduate student pursuing two Master’s degrees, while also tutoring on the side. I have seven years of tutoring experience, ranging from one-on-one sessions to group workshops and formal classes at after-school programs. Over the years, I have successfully helped dozens of students with competitive college admissions essays, standardized test prep, and daily coursework.

I offer remote tutoring sessions, allowing me to be flexible when scheduling, especially for those with busy routines and or in different time zones. My online sessions are organized, engaging, and unique to each student, using technology to make learning interactive and fun. I prioritize building a comfortable and judgment-free environment where students can questions and feel confidence.

I am a also creative writer and an avid reader. Outside of teaching and studying, I love cross-stitching, baking, and traveling.

About the lesson

I use an interactive, hands-on approach that focuses on learning through practice rather than just through lectures. The goal of this approach is to break down large concepts into simple, step-by-step strategies that are easier to retain.

Every session is usually a mix of learning, joint practice, and independent application so you can immediately apply what you have learned to build confidence.

A typical session is both structured and flexible, starting with a quick review of previous topics or assignments before diving into that lesson's main focus. We will dedicate the majority of each session to guided practice, such as working through practical assignments, writing prompts, or test-prep questions together. Each session will wrap up with a quick recap, and we will decide the next steps together so that each lesson is uniquely tailored for you.

I work with students of all ages and for all aspects of English and writing, from book reports to college admissions essays or resume reviews. For elementary and middle schoolers, I focus on building reading comprehension and strengthening basic writing skills. For high school and college students, I focus test prep (AP, SAT, ACT, and GRE), academic essays, and admissions essays. For adult professionals, I provide support in improving resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles.
