About Amanda
I have over 10 years' experience working in UK mainstream schools and alternative provisions. I specialise in both English and Music, and started my teaching career as a vocal tutor and Head of Music before moving into wider leadership roles, leading and writing curriculum. I am currently the Deputy Headteacher, with a Master's Degree in Education, QTS, PGCE and qualified SENCo status. I believe in building positive relationships and I am committed to helping my students achieve their goals.

I offer supportive, structured English lessons, tailored to each learner's needs, goals and confidence levels. As a qualified SENCo, I specialise in helping students develop reading, writing and communication skills in an encouraging environment. My lessons are bespoke and carefully planned to maximise outcomes and confidence. This includes step-by-step instructions, chunked tasks, and regular feedback. I work with a range of students, including those learning English as an additional language, or students requiring GCSE support.
