About Sammy
I first became interested in language learning and teaching while I attended a Spanish conversation group at my local library. I learned that there was another class called “Let’s Speak English” - and that they were in need of an instructor. I volunteered, and a few weeks later I began leading sessions. This was a conversation group so the aim was to be as practical as possible. I started this when I was 20 years old, and for the last 6 years I’ve helped over 50 people improve their English skills. My passion for the subject has inspired me to pursue a certificate in TESOL. I’m excited to help you achieve your goals, whatever they may look like.

I try my best to keep the lessons applicable and focused on what you’re looking to achieve. This could look different depending on you. For some, it could mean discussing conversation questions that I have prepared. For others, it could be reviewing your homework or preparing for an exam. In our first few sessions together, we will discuss your expectations and create a plan to help accomplish them!
