About the lesson

I’m a qualified TEFL teacher and experienced English tutor offering friendly, engaging and individually tailored lessons for children, teenagers and adults. Every student is different, so I adapt my teaching to individual goals, interests and learning styles. I teach English as a foreign language from beginner to advanced level, including general and conversational English, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and English for professional purposes. I also tutor UK secondary-school students, including GCSE and IGCSE English Language and English Literature. I can support students with reading comprehension, analysis, creative and transactional writing, grammar, exam technique and preparation for specific exam-board requirements. Lessons can be tailored to address particular areas of difficulty, prepare for examinations or build confidence throughout the course. My lessons are relaxed, supportive and practical. I aim to make learning enjoyable while ensuring that students make clear progress towards their individual goals. I offer flexible lesson lengths from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the learner’s needs and availability. Alongside my teaching experience, I have worked in a range of professional environments, including business, health and social care, and I hold a degree in Law. This experience is particularly valuable when working with adult learners who need English for professional or academic purposes. Whether you are learning English as an additional language, preparing for GCSE or IGCSE examinations, or simply want to become a more confident communicator, I will design lessons around what you need to achieve. I look forward to working with you and helping you reach your goals.
