About Ming
Hi! I'm currently a fifth year medical student at UNSW in Wagga, and I have extensive experience in tutoring high school students.
I graduated in 2018 with an ATAR of 99.85:
English Advanced - 96/100
English Extension 1 - 49/50
Maths Advanced - 96/100
Maths Extension 1 - 48/50
Society and Culture - 96/100
LAT (for UNSW Law admission): 100th percentile.
I've helped several students who were struggling in class and scoring C's/D's achieve their goals, and helped boost not only their marks but importantly their confidence and thinking skills to help them achieve their potential.
Being only a few years out from high school, I know exactly what it feels like to be juggling all the extracurriculars whilst still trying to balance study. I hope to be not only a tutor, but also a mentor in tough times and a friend!

Lesson length: 1 hour
Experience: 5+ years of English tutoring across ESL, Standard, Advanced and Extension 1 with multiple students scoring Band 6s having been C-D grade students.
Also offering maths and humanities assistance as needed.
I teach with a supportive yet firm style. My focus is to prepare students the core skills necessary to succeed in uni and beyond, as there is so much more to learning than the next test or the HSC!
I structure lessons with:
- Review of homework and feedback
- Weekly tutoring content
- Assistance with school homework and assessments
- Setting of homework and expectations
I am very receptive to feedback and through supporting 20+ students through highschool to university, I have learned to adapt to different learning styles most effectively.
