About Abbie

My name is Abbie and I'm an experienced English teacher in a secondary school in East London. I have a wealth of experience teaching key stages 3-5 and have also been an examiner for AQA. Currently, I am Deputy Head of English in charge of KS5, but love supporting children of all ages to reach their full potential! I have years of experience tutoring children aged 5-18, and have had students make outstanding progress as a result of my encouraging, positive, but thorough approach. I love finding new ways to personalise my teaching to students' interests and abilities, to create a truly individual learning experience. I keep a record of student progress, and am always happy to spend the time discussing a student's needs and targets. I have currently finished with a stream of students I've carried through their exams, and so am looking to get some new tutees to work with! I'm happy to come to you or tutor online - whichever works best for you.
