About Sarah
I have been tutoring for 10 years; I have tutored over 1000 students. I have been a substitute teacher, student teacher, and teacher and have taught over 600 students. My students have gone on to amazing schools such as UCSD, MIT, Pepperdine, UC Irvine, UC Berkeley, and UCLA. One student attested that my 30 minutes of tutoring her in Geometry pushed her grade to an A when her last test scores had been Fs and Ds; she finished the class with a B. Additionally, another student with Asperger's and other learning disabilities was failing her chemistry class to the point where the teacher suggested she try again the next semester, but she wanted to work through it. I worked with her--she got a B+. She thanked me at her senior graduation speech saying I was the only one who believed in her and it taught her never to give up hope that she can accomplish what she wants to do despite her disabilities.

BA in English from UC Irvine with concentrations in Shakespeare and British Literature and teaching credential authorizations for ELA, SPED, and grades 6-12 in-classroom instruction. Tutored for 10 years in all high school level subjects. Lessons structured in three parts--intro, main idea, and practice. After sufficient practice an assessment is issued. I operate under the methodology that every student can be successful if given the tools and opportunity.
