About Larry
I'm a patient, reliable, and experienced professional with a background in both education and business. I hold an MBA and an engineering degree, and I've spent years mentoring students and professionals in subjects like English, writing, public speaking, and computer skills. I take pride in creating a safe, respectful learning space where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace. Students and families can count on me to be consistent, prepared, and easy to communicate with. I understand that trust is a big part of learning, and I work hard to earn it through clear expectations, encouraging feedback, and steady progress. Whether we're working on schoolwork, building skills for the future, or just boosting confidence, I’m here to support each student’s individual journey - and I genuinely enjoy helping them succeed.

My approach as a tutor is all about clarity, confidence, and connection. I focus on helping students truly understand the "why" behind what they’re learning — not just memorize answers. I tailor each lesson based on the student’s level, learning style, and goals, whether they need support in English, writing, or digital/computer skills.
A typical session starts with a quick check-in and a review of previous material, followed by focused time on a new concept using real-life examples or interactive tools. I always leave time for questions, practice, and quick wins to build momentum. With older students, I often help connect what they’re learning to their career goals, which keeps things motivating and relevant.
What sets me apart is that I bring both business and technical experience - as someone with an MBA and an engineering background, I’ve used these skills in the real world and love helping students see how their learning connects to the future. I’m especially passionate about helping students grow their confidence and skill set, whether they’re in middle school, high school, or preparing for college or work.
