About Jonathan
I believe that learning should be an enjoyable experience for the student, where the learning environment feels like a safe, comfortable space in which they can excel. Having worked for the past few years with students based around Eastern Europe, I value the importance of communicating and understanding people who live in different parts of the world. Being able to share ideas and get different perspectives of the world from these students on a daily basis has been a hugely educational and rewarding experience for them and me. I am also an art historian, and love discussing art and literature with new people.

I believe that every student is different, therefore lessons are tailored to the individual needs of each client, whether that means focussing on improving grammar, vocabulary, speaking or listening skills. I have experience teaching both general and academic English and (having a PhD in art history) I also enjoy using art and literature as a means to make the classes more interesting and fun. I generally teach adults who need to improve their English for work reasons, or just want some refresher classes if they feel like they have become a bit rusty.
