About Tom
Hey!
I'm Tom and I am a Masters graduate with a background in both Theatre and English Literature. As my chosen subjects betray, I have a passion for words in all their forms - From Shakespeare to Shelley and Wordsworth to Wilde, I'm your guy for help with all things poetry and prose!
Having studied at the best state funded 6th Form College in the North of England before completing my Bachelors and Masters degrees at two different universities, I know how challenging education can be... Which puts me in a unique position to help guide you through the process from the classroom and exams, all the way through to applications and interviews.
In my classroom, you, the student, are truly in charge and will always have the freedom to lead the session in a direction that suits you. Whether you need assistance detangling the Bard's floral language and verse form or would rather get into the nitty gritty philosophical concepts that informed great writers such as Stevenson, Woolf, and Baldwin... Together we can find a path that suits you.
It is my hope that not only will we practice close textual analysis and past exams papers, but that we enjoy rich conversations and great debates in our classroom as this is how ideas are born!
