About Zoe
I am an experienced tutor and mentor, passionate about helping students of all ages to set their academic and personal goals, and equipping them with the skills and knowledge to reach their full potential. Whatever stage you are at in your academic career, I will work with you to ensure that you are able to progress onto the next phase with superb results and with the skills you need to excel.
I have wide-ranging teaching experience, including English for Academic Purposes (University of Birmingham), Careers Mentor & University Preparation Coach (Concord College, Shropshire) and ESOL teaching (various contracts). I am currently teaching English to KS3 and KS4 students so have excellent knowledge of the current GCSE English requirements (for both Language and Literature).
I have a Masters in French & Linguistics from the University of Oxford, a PGCE in Literacy (holding QTLS), and a PG Dip. in Education with Leadership & Management. I am registered with the DBS update service.
I have managed university preparation programmes for students, specialising in preparation for Humanities, Languages & Social Sciences; Law; and Medicine. I have coached 6th-form students in the preparation of personal statements and conducted mock interviews with them in preparation for application to the top Russell Group universities, including Oxford and Cambridge, with excellent success rates.

I teach students holistically, getting to know them on an individual level. How I teach depends on the starting point of the student: age, experience, aspirations, and their approach to learning.
