About Alexander
Hi, I'm Alex and I have just finished my A-Levels at Westminster School, and am studying Law at Keble College, Oxford. I am a passionate cricket and sports fan with a keen interest in literature, history, philosophy and law.
I can teach for interviews, English, History, RS/Philosophy, or critical thinking/TSA/LNAT style entrance exams at 16+ level. At 11+ and 13+, I can teach maths as well as other subjects.
I scored 34 in my LNAT for Oxford, placing me in the top 26 applicants out of over 2000. I was (a few years ago now!) awarded places at Westminster, St Pauls, KCS Wimbledon and City of London before scoring strongly in the Westminster scholarship exams. Since then, I have received 10 9s and 2 A*s at GCSE, have debated at a high level and had success both in school and university class competitions and have completed A-Levels in Maths, English, History and Philosophy.
I have previously helped volunteer at a primary school in Westminster, where I helped the kids there with some maths and literacy. I also have experience tutoring 13-15 year old students in English, Debating and Maths, both 1 to 1 and in groups of 3-5, whom I have taught creative writing, poetry analysis and guided them through Macbeth. Additionally, I have helped to prepare a child to sit the King's 9+ for English, helping them to gain an interview.

My teaching is geared towards three things:
1. Guiding students to their relevant exams and helping them to score strongly on papers
2. Improving broader knowledge of the subjects and trying to foster a genuine academic interest and enjoyment of the discipline
3. Instilling confidence in their own academic abilities so that they can both perform better and get more pleasure out of their academic work
