About Parker

Hi, I’m Parker! I am a practicing lawyer, native English speaker, and former collegiate varsity athlete based in Vancouver, BC. My career has been built on high-level communication, precise writing, and articulate public speaking—skills I developed while earning my Juris Doctor at UBC Law and advising clients in litigation and global non-profit advocacy.

Beyond my legal background, I hold a Bachelor of Kinesiology (4.0 GPA) and have spent over 8 years coaching youth athletes. Years of coaching have taught me how to break down complex ideas, practice active listening, and adapt my teaching style to help each individual thrive. Having also lived and competed internationally in Beijing, China, I understand firsthand the dedication required to navigate language barrier nuances and build confidence in new environments.

I bring a calm, patient, structured, and encouraging approach to every lesson. I look forward to working with you to help you achieve your English language goals!

As a native English speaker, practicing lawyer, and former collegiate athlete, I bring a unique blend of high-level communication, active listening, and coaching experience to our lessons. Whether you want to master relaxed everyday conversation, polish professional business writing, or prepare for public speaking and interviews, my goal is to help you build natural confidence and fluency.

Professionals & Executives: Looking to elevate business communication, email writing, meeting participation, or presentation skills.

Students & Academics: Refining essays, academic writing, and vocabulary.

Conversational Learners: Looking to speak naturally, expand vocabulary, and improve pronunciation in a comfortable setting.

My approach is interactive, supportive, and tailored entirely to your personal goals. A standard 60-minute lesson includes:

- Warm-Up Conversation (10 mins): Casual, real-world dialogue to build speaking momentum.
- Core Focused Work (35 mins): Target practice based on your needs, discussing current events, practicing business scenarios/interview prep, reviewing written drafts, or mastering key grammar concepts.
- Feedback & Key Takeaways (15 mins): Reviewing new vocabulary, pronunciation tips, and actionable notes for continued progress.

With years of experience coaching athletes and advising clients, I create a patient, encouraging space where you can make mistakes, learn effectively, and speak with complete confidence.
