About Hafsa
I am a qualified secondary English teacher and current middle leader with experience teaching students across KS3 and GCSE. Every day I support students of all abilities to develop their reading, writing and analytical skills while building the confidence they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
I believe every student can make progress when they receive the right guidance and encouragement. My teaching style is patient, supportive and structured, ensuring lessons are tailored to each learner's strengths, areas for development and personal goals.
Whether your child is aiming to improve their confidence, prepare for GCSE exams or achieve the highest grades, I am committed to providing engaging, high-quality tuition that delivers lasting results. My goal is not only to help students achieve academic success but also to inspire a genuine appreciation for English and learning.

My teaching focuses on building both confidence and competence. I break down complex ideas into manageable steps, provide personalised feedback and equip students with practical strategies they can use in school and exams. My aim is not only to help students improve their grades but also to develop a genuine understanding and appreciation of English.
A typical 60-minute lesson is structured as follows:
- Review (5–10 minutes): We begin by revisiting previous learning and addressing any questions or misconceptions.
- Teaching and Modelling (15–20 minutes): I explicitly teach a new skill or concept, modelling the thinking process and demonstrating high-quality responses.
- Guided Practice (20–25 minutes): Students apply what they have learned through carefully selected questions and activities, with immediate feedback and support.
- Independent Application (10–15 minutes): Students complete an exam-style question or writing task to consolidate their learning and develop independence.
- Reflection and Next Steps (5 minutes): We review progress, celebrate successes and identify clear targets for the next lesson.
