About Brittanie
Along with my academic background, I also have extensive experience helping students work through the frustration and behavioral difficulties that can accompany difficulties in academics. Through patience, encouragement and small successes I can help your student develop a more positive outlook on education and build their confidence.
I can offer lessons locally in-person, as well as virtually. Along with personalized and professional reading, math and writing lessons I also offer homework help at a reduced cost to you! I am experienced in the world of virtual education as well and can help you and your student navigate those platforms.

I am a Special Education teacher with 12 years of experience in both brick and mortar and virtual settings . I have a Masters in Special Education with endorsements in both emotional impairments and learning disabilities. I teach a variety of lessons, including phonics and decoding, reading comprehension, written expression, basic math, algebra and math problem solving to grades K-8.
I have been trained in several evidenced-based reading intervention programs, including: Orton Gillingham, The Science of Reading, LETRS, and Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI). I am also familiar with Hooked on Phonics and Bobs Books-which I use to help my own 4 year old learn to read. All of these are integrated into my reading lessons to help your student become a successful reader.
