Working with Tatyana has provided me with several of the most fulfilling creative film experiences of my career. The structured space she allows for collaboration while maintaining her own clearly communicated vision, is inspiring as a concept and quite astonishing in practice. Not just for us actors is this space held: each department benefits from her attention in this way. It's an incredible dance between her own strong vision and letting go gently so that each of us can contribute our best in production. Once Tatyana has chosen her department heads and cast, she fearlessly trusts the process and smoothly corrects course if ever necessary. In this way, a foundation for safe exploration is established and the footage gathered is greater than the sum of its parts. With this same flexibility she gathers the story anew from these results in editing. This fluidity and embracing of the process as writer/director is matched in her producing - the speed and efficiency with which she has fund-raised, shot and delivered each film really demonstrates that she is truly in her lane. She continuously moves forward and I cannot wait to see her soar with the benefit of ever-stronger producing teams. For me individually as an actor, I feel "seen" and appreciated and part of the storytelling process in a way which is sadly unusual! All the reasons I became an actor have been met and multiplied on each of these three films of Tatyana's and two of her plays. I hope to grow in her garden for many projects to come!
