About Christiana
I am an experienced tutor specializing in reading, writing, and language arts. Currently a professional in the legal field and soon-to-be law student, I am looking to get back into tutoring after relocating to California and taking a few years off. Most of my tutoring experience has been with elementary and middle school children (8th grade and under), but I am qualified to teach high school and college students as well. I hold a BA from Christopher Newport University (Dec. 2016), where I studied acting and dramatic literature.

When meeting with a new student, I begin by reviewing the state-mandated educational objectives for their given grade level. Upon meeting with the student, I give them a short diagnostic test, as well as ask them to identify any areas where they feel they are struggling. In our first few meetings, I also attempt to identify the student's individual learning style and tailor my tutoring to that.
