About Sam

here at top dawgs fielding and hitting lessons you can come from any background and size. if your son or daughter has a passion for the game of baseball and a sound heart and good attitude then they will succeed in the training they receive. like other instructors and camps they crunch the training on your child and really dont give them a chance to grow and just shove them out the door. here I break everything down so that your child can really grasp the material they are getting and enforce that on the things they are strugging with so they can improve there game. top dawg hitting and fielding also focuses on creating a relationship with there instructor and to carry those life skills past the game of baseball into the real world. it is with great excitement and eagerness to be meeting you and your son or daughter soon

-sam benson

being a baseball player for most of my life I have self fell in love with wanting to train kids to improve their game. and with society being so cruel I have seen alot of mean things from players, coaches and even parents targeting the not so talented players, that triggered me into stepping into the training job to make sure every player gets the right training and coaching to improve them as a person and ball player.

I have played baseball ever since I was three and absolutley loved every bit of it. i was a three year highschool baseball player at colonial forge in stafford virginia and commited to the college of southern maryalnd to continue my academic and baseball career. i have worked many camps ranging from 7u- 16u. at colonial forge I have had the pleasure to run camps with top tier training.

at first I love to get to know my students and the parents as well. as we progress into training your son or daughter will get a player evaluation sheet to get a base standpoint to see where your son or daughter is at in the sport and each student gets their own personalized program and drills. once we hit a certain point in the training we re-visit the evaluation sheet and see the progress your son or daughter has made.
